ABUS Extreme 83WP/63 Padlock is a CEN security grade 3 and an Abus security level 8 padlock with 11mm shackle diameter, a vertical clearance of 35mm. The ABUS Titalium 90RK50 Padlock is ideal for securing medium to high value items indoors or outdoors. The padlock is 100% rust free and has an outer coating for extra protection.
The ABUS Extreme 83WP/63 Padlock has been optimised for outdoor usage and higher-level security applications. They are suitable for securing items of a higher value and/or items at a greater risk of theft. Their removable high-precision pin tumbler cylinders with patented pinning window, both enables these padlocks to be re-keyed for integration into existing security systems and protects the padlocks against tampering. In addition to its patented pinning window, this product also features a patented Z-bar which can easily convert the padlock from key-retaining to non-key-retaining, allowing the user to swiftly tailor this product to his/her needs. Finally, these padlocks have been optimised to resist the effects of the weather. To this end, both of the above ABUS 83WP Hardened Alloy Padlocks feature a shackle and body constructed from hardened steel alloy and surrounded by NANO PROTECT™ coating which works to prevent corrosion and the build-up of rust. Adding to this product’s resilience is its durable weather cover with drainage pipes which help to protect it against adverse weather conditions.
ABUS Security Levels Explained
Abus offer their own security level guide along with the CEN grade. This can be used as a guide of how strong the padlock is within it's CEN grade. The security level goes from 1 to 10 with 10 being the most robust security. The higher the rating the bigger the lock, the stronger the Shackle and more more secure the casing.

Padlocks in Europe are graded following the CEN Gading system which means any padlock has to meet certain requirements. CEN grades each padlock from 1 to 6. These range from low security applications such as lockers and toolboxes to high security applications such as locking of freight containers and high value goods. CEN Grade 6 padlocks are very rare and as such most companies would recommend a grade of 3 to 5 for higher security applications.
