The Heiniger Charger Comb has been designed specifically for UK/Irish conditions. This bevel comb, has smooth bends, finer tips and longer, stronger teeth that allows it to flow evenly over the whole sheep. The comb is designed to be user friendly from learner shearers to world champions.
The full thickness of the comb is 93.5mm wide. This is a short bevel comb designed to be used right handed.
Clipper blades have two parts.
The larger bottom blade is called the comb.
The comb feeds the hair into the top, or cutting blade.
The comb blade will have more teeth that the top blade. The comb gathers the hair together and holds it while the top blade moves and slices the hair off.
The cutting blade is moved back and forth very quickly by the clipper motor to cut the hair.
The cutting blade may have less teeth than the comb blade.
