The Digital Thermometer is a medical device used for veterinary use. The thermometer features a sensing probe at the end and a digital display screen at the top. It locks the screen after reading the temperature. It would take roughly 10 seconds to read temperature through rectal and 17 seconds orally and automatically shuts off after a while. It is 5'' inches long and comes in a plastic case which fits easily into pockets. The thermometer runs on battery and warns in case off low power. Healthy Calves generally have a rectal Temerature of 101.5-102 (38- 39C)
