The Cormac Standard Shearing Comb is a professional wide comb. It has 13 teeth and is suitable for all fleece types and is ideal for shearing show sheep. The Cormac Standard Shearing Comb is designed to cope with tough fleeces.
Clipper blades have two parts.
The larger bottom blade is called the comb.
The comb feeds the hair into the top, or cutting blade.
The comb blade will have more teeth that the top blade. The comb gathers the hair together and holds it while the top blade moves and slices the hair off.
The cutting blade is moved back and forth very quickly by the clipper motor to cut the hair.
The cutting blade may have less teeth than the comb blade.
